John Bell Retreat at the Royal Foundation of St Katharine

A fair proportion of the Bible is taken up with stories of historical figures who were shaped by their faith in different ways. Some became courageous, some reclusive, some provocative, some affirmative.

In this retreat we will look at the lives of a number of such people, but not the likely suspects – Moses, Isaiah, Paul and the other ‘greats’. Instead, we will consider those who in terms of volume have little written about them, but in terms of impact are of considerable worth to faith and believing today… and they will not all be male.

John Bell is a preacher, hymnwriter, composer, lecturer and broadcaster, and will lead this residential retreat.
