Bailey reminds us that in the world of Jesus\, a vine lives only in utter dependence on the gardener. To “abide” is not passive withdrawal\, but active\, trusting attachment — a daily choosing to remain in the life of God.\nAmong blossom and unfolding leaves\, we will reflect on the difference between fruitfulness and busyness\, between striving and staying. DESCRIPTION:When the Saints go Marching in\n\nSaturday 30 May 2026\n10:00  16:00\nThe House of Prayer (map)\n\n\nLed by Anne Booth  \nWhen the Saints go marching in\, do we really want to be in their number? In the Christian tradition we have the Saints\, whose stories and images are so familiar that they can feel like our heavenly friends and family\, yet sometimes their extraordinary examples of holiness can be hard to reconcile with our own more ordinary lives. How can we be inspired without being demoralised\, and how is God inviting us to live out our own call to sainthood? This day will explore the stories of the saints and their spiritualities\, and the fact and fiction which surrounds them. We will pray about and ponder the fact that they were real\, imperfect people\, and\, using the Gospels\, poetry and the writings of Thomas Merton\, consider the part they can play today in inspiring us to love God with all our hearts\, souls and minds\, and our neighbours as ourselves. \nStarts at 10am and finishes at 4pm. Please bring a packed lunch.

DESCRIPTION:Junior Garr and The Spirituals: Gospel music and Prayer\n\n30th May 2026\, 10:15 – 16:00\n\n\nFollowing the wonderful day last year we are thrilled to host another of these powerful days led by Junior as he helps us explore how the rich spiritual anthems can enliven our call to Christian Prayer today. \nIt is a delight that The Spirituals have a close relationship with RFSK and so it is a joy to welcome Junior to lead this day with us. \nThe Spirituals were formed in October 2020 by music director\, Junior\, and arranger/ conductor Marsha B Morrison. Their first EP with the lead single ‘Wade in the water’ has gained over 10 million views on YouTube\, clearly there was a niche in the market and The Spirituals found it. The reimagining of spiritual anthems and songs is their speciality and fans across the world love it. This led the way for future projects\, more reimagined songs\, appearances on the BBC including Songs of Praise\, filming in the iconic St Paul’s Cathedral and Lambeth Palace
