Fr John Gribben\, Br Michael Maxwell. \nArrival: Monday afternoon (31st August) from 3pm.   Evensong is at 6pm and supper at 6.45pm.  The first session will be at 7.30pm \nDeparture: After breakfast on Friday (4th September) \nCost:  Single rate – £70 per night full board in a standard retreat house room or £79.50 in an en-suite room. \nDouble rate –  en-suite only £119.50 per night full board. \nWhile we hope that the week will attract our Companions\, and others in the CR family\, everyone is warmly welcome.

It can offer ‘the best of both worlds’ when summer visitors can still be seen as they head south\, coinciding with the arrival of the first winter visitors. Departing birds like Pied Flycatcher\, Redstart and Whinchat can be seen on the island\, plus more unusual birds like Wryneck\, Icterine Warbler and Red-breasted Flycatcher if the winds swing easterly. At the same time\, the first of the winter visitors start appearing from the Arctic with birds like the Brent Geese\, Knot and Bar-tailed Godwit. September is typically the best month for passage waders and we would hope to see birds like Curlew Sandpiper\, Little Stint and Greenshank. \nThe all-inclusive price is 535 pounds per person which includes 3 nights full board\, accommodation and retreat fees. People willing to share a twin room are each entitled to sixty pounds discount. You will be staying on the island itself at Marygate House – a very comfortable Georgian house with twin bedded rooms that share bathrooms and toilets. The food is home-made and consistently praised for its good quality. We will have exclusive use of the house and its facilities which includes its impressive library about Celtic Christianity. \nIn order to book your room\, please firstly contact me about availability. An individually guided retreat at Kilmalieu involves stepping away from the noise of a busy world to focus on our relationship with God. Participants are invited to join in the daily rhythm of prayer with the Kilmalieu Team and are offered opportunities for guidance\, spiritual accompaniment and/or coaching. In addition\, there is lots of time and space to pray\, reflect and enjoy the rugged beauty of the mountains\, the coastline and the woodlands that characterise the Kilmalieu estate.   \nThis retreat can be booked for either 3 or 4 nights. The retreat is fully catered\, starting with dinner after arrival on Friday and ending with breakfast before you leave on day of departure.
